Within the gallery is a multitude of images. They are projected onto surfaces, displayed on monitors, mounted on walls. An artist has strung them together sequentially - in some cases adding sound - and coalesced discrete fragments into form, feeling, and wonder. 

The work in this exhibition represents a small and non-exhaustive survey of Athens artists who use the moving image in their creative practice. While the work ranges in subject matter, topicality, and form, they share an experimental, non-narrative, and personal approach to the time-based mediums of film and video. As the alchemists they are, these artists have coalesced images, sounds, ideas, and dreams into fleeting and fluid creations for us to experience.

Beale Street in Memphis, Tennessee is the birthplace of blues music. On its periphery, a lone, hooded figure appears to summon an intersectional world for Black Americans and Black Africans.
